Hello All,
We are seing an issue with a non-persistent pool, (our only non-persistent pool) where a user will attempt to connect to a desktop and it will take a significant amount of time before they connect to a desktop. When looking in the View Administrator, I can see the events in this order:
1.User Username has logged in
2. User Username requested Pool Clinical_Desktop
3. The agent running on machine MACHINENAME1 has accepted an allocated session for user USERNAME
4. The agent running on machine MACHINENAME2 has accepted an allocated session for user USERNAME
5.User Username has logged in to a new session on machine MACHINENAME3
Sometimes there are more accepted sessions, sometimes the user gets right in.
The desktops are Win7 32bit, 2 gig of ram, 1 vCPU.
We ahve 2 security servers, and 2 connection servers, everything goes through our security servers, 2008 R2. We upgraded to View 5 from 4.6, as this happened in 4.6 and VMWare recommended the upgrade as a fix, so I am a little stumped here. When these situations occur, if a user disconnects from a desktop, they may not reconnect to the same desktop, even though they shoud, the desktop does not log off on disconnect, and there is a 2 hour window before a disconnected session is logged off, so users can end up with in some cases like today, a user had 10 sessions, that isn't helpful when they have to keep logging in. I've banged my head against the wall and VMWare support hasn't been too helpful so far.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Points will be awarded for a solution!
Thanks much!
kevin
