Had a similar issue a few weeks ago, it was the video driver on the desktop. I changed the video driver on the desktop to the plain VMware SVGA II and it worked. I then started changing drivers around. In my case there was an issue with our blade center and they way it presented the video graphics. After upgrading to Horizon View 5.2 we are back to the 3d Graphics divers.
