I saw a KB regarding F5 load balancers, VMware KB: F5 Load Balancer may interfere with VMware View Client Connectivity , but it doesn't seem likely that it would be the case since it works on some of your desktops but not others. Are you using any type of proxy server where the configuration could have gotten misconfigured on the laptop?
