Hi Steve
Im trying to think how best to help progress this. Im wondering if we take a little step back, and try and understand at a high level where the problem is.
Are you able to do some screen shots perhaps? Specifically, I am interested in:
- The Lync Options/Settings dialog where it shows the type of device being used for audio out / audio in.
- Also, Device Manager - can you expand all the HID, Audio and USB devices
- Playback Devices, and Recording Devices in the Windows Sound properties dialog.
ideally, if you can do this for the original view 5.0 working situation and the new view 5.2 situation then that would be good.
I am expecting that on 5.0 you see something like a "Handset device" being reported in Lync, but on 5.2 maybe it is just showing up as a Speakerphone device.
If that is the case. could you try one more thing; could you try once you are in your desktop and the device is forwarded - then try shutting down the lync client and then restarting it. Does the device appear differently in the tools/settings dialog of lync now?
For all of this, please run the tests without any splitting/filtering configured,
(btw; I sit next to Pete Barber who sent the message #6 above. I think the approach here might be a little easier as a first step - we might come back to Pete's suggestions later on... but lets start with this).
cheers
