The clues are that it has something to do with EDID. However I cannot do what is suggested which is plug in a monitor to the nvidia card on the host to save the EDID config as the nvidia K1’s don’t have any Display IO ports .
Still have not been able to get the K1 to boot as default on primary display. None of the suggestions on this thread have helped either. Hope somebody has resolved this. Please respond if you have.
Thanks
The EDID is just an export of a Monitor's config.
You can connect the monitor from the Thin Client or desktop to ANY device that has an nVidia card with nVidia drivers, dump the EDID from that machine to a text file and then use this for your import in the nVidia GPU Control Panel.
When HP first started doing Pass Thru GPUs with XenServer and XenDesktop, these same steps were in one of their guides.
Worth a shot to import that for both monitors and see if Multi Monitor starts to work. Just be sure to grab a snapshot of the VM before you import in case it borks the VM and you cannot get the display back.
In fact, my laptop has a Quadro 2000M, so here is my EDID export.
Everything from this .txt file was on a single line, so ignore/fix any word wrap from the Forums:
