The update process was pretty straightforward, as with most recent View releases, but as usual I ran into an issue with a couple of my connection brokers where files were locked and couldn't be updated (the update rolls back, but leaves nothing installed). After a reboot those re-installed just fine. Either way, updating my connection brokers led to an out-of-sync ADAM database that resulted in a completely non-provisioning environment (any machines that were Available were usable, but nothing was being turned on or created; no commands were being relayed to the vCenter Server). My advice (and what I plan to do going forward) is to shut down or disable the services on all but one connection broker, then update and bring them up one at a time.
