Re: Hardware for small vmware view enterprise project 10 vDesktops

I think what I've always heard, as far as licensing goes, is that you pay per concurrent connection and the required infrastructure servers (Connection Server, Security Server, vCenter, ect) do not consume a license and are the only server OS VM's that can run in the View Environment.  So, I don't believe the servers actually consume a license of your View 10 pack because you already paid for View (Enterprise, Premiere, ect) and thus have already paid for your vCenter, ESXi, ect.  That wouldn't make sense if each of the servers required to actually support your 10 pack of desktops consumed a license.

 

You can always reach out to VMWare sales/licensing team or a VMWare partner to get the "official" word.
