I copied the certificate from the local computers personal store and pasted it to the root cert store, processed the upgrade again and same issue. I have just discovered another thread with the same issue, Re: Failed View 5.3 upgrade, so believe it sensible to close this one and move both issues into that thread! I'm going to try another upgrade but am now getting composer issues so am stuck unless I revert my composer server. I'm worried about the impact on the composer database if I go back a version though!
