To verify that the workaround is implemented you should be able to look at the desktop through the vCenter console at the same time as a user is connected with a View client. Normally this would be black but with the workaround implemented you should be able to see the display except for the mouse pointer.
If you still not see any improvement please open a Support Request with VMware Support so we can take a look at the problem.
