This script, written by Peeter P. Motskula will create the CHROOT jail for you, and download all the proper stuff to make vmware view client run on your 64 bit Ubuntu Installation (Works with 11.10 as of this writing). There are a few "gotchas" with the tech preview client, particularly in the lines of multi-monitor support...but it does work (typing this in a Windows View Client from an Ubuntu Desktop right now).
