I am applying a few different group policies to accomplish the following:
- Prevent changing desktop background
- Add logoff to start menu
- Turn off updating for Google Chrome
- Prevent Outlook from being launched
- Clear recent programs list for new users
- Remove and prevent access to shut down, restart, sleep and hibernate
- Group policy preferences to map different drives
- Software restrictions for students
- Lock out certain control panels
The only software I have installed on my master image is software that everyone, both Staff and Students, use district wide. If a piece of software is used by a narrower group then it is Thinapped.
