Linjo You might be right.  It depends on how you read the document, though.

 

Based on the PDF that you can download from here, you might not need RDS CALs to provide a VDI solution that is built on Windows Server as long as it isn't using any of the RDS components.  I think the wording is a little ambiguous, though, since question 3 in the FAQ says an RDS license is needed if you are directly or indirectly accessing the GUI through RDS or other 3rd party software to enable a multiuser scenario while question 7 (which specifically says VMware) says that an RDS CAL is only needed if using RDS components.

 

Since View doesn't use any RDS components and is technically not a multiuser scenario, you might be right.  But the wording makes it clear as mud.
