Thanks for the replay Geoff. I know this might be a dumb question and I know how to sysprep a machine but when you say you syspreped a bunch of machines what do you mean?
Last night was my first time creating a pool in VDI so I am still learning. I created the pool from a snapshot on a Windows 7 machine that was fully patched and joined to the network.
So my ? is can't I use the templated Windows 7 machine. Input the client KMS key in the template. At this point the template won't be activated because the KMS server didn't hand out a key.
Then create my pool and have it spin up 10 VMs. Then reset the pool and that will reset the VMs and they will try to activate again? Then do that one more time and the count would be 30 and it would start to activate windows.
Is that correct? Why do I have to sysprep the machines every time? Doesn't VM View sysprep the machines when creating them and change the SID number automatically every time it creates the new machines?
Thanks again!
