I didn't have the gateway enabled, either, so I thought it would fix my problem (same problem). It didn't. I checked the firewall, and the ports are open. Any ideas?

The repository for persona is specified in a GPO but are you sure your using persona? It's a different method of handling profiles than the View persistent disk.

Yes, you need to do all 3 steps - http://communities.vmware.com/docs/DOC-14974 If any are not done or not done correctly you will get this symptom. This is how others have fixed it. Mark
