I figured out my issue. I had an IP address that was wrong in the Security server. Once I took care of that, I was golden.
Re: Horizon 7 Radius Authentication Problems
Re: Horizon 7.4 with vCenter/vSphere 6.7
Due to changes in the instant clone API in 6.7 Horizon 7.4 and prior are not supported. Horizon 7.5 which is expected in Q2 of this year should fully support 6.7.
Re: Auto Assigned Desktop Info Stored where?
It sounds like the user might have autoconnect enabled on the pool which is stored in the ADAM database. On the Horizon Client the user can disable autoconnect after connecting to a pool (Zero clients don't have this option). Alternatively try the following query in your ADAM database. All of the results will be for users that have "alwaysConnect=true" in the "pae-NameValuePair". You can remove the "alwaysConnect=true" entry.
Root of Search: OU=Properties,DC=vdi,DC=vmware,DC=int
Query String: (pae-NameValuePair=*alwaysConnect=true*)
Re: Horizon View inquiries
1.) No, they should be separate servers.
2.) Unless you have specific security concern they do not need separate NLBs. DMZ and on-prem users can go through the same connection. We do this for all users with one NLB and UAG servers. If you need different resources available depending on connection servers then yes, you do need separate NLBs.
3.) For HA and load for the edge servers. You can have multiple UAGs going to connection servers.
4.)Yes. Once you convert the desktop you will just need to add the appropriate agents (horizon, uem, appvolume, etc)
5.) Depends on how you configure your desktops / farms. You can use profile management tools to get a persistent experience with non-persistent desktops/applications.
6.) I'm not familiar with ncomputing but from what I have experienced you should ditch it and do everything in Horizon. No reason to add complexity to your environment.
Re: Windows 10 v1607 VDI vm3dmp.sys BSOD
Curious: Is there an update on this? Or a internal/external KB number? Or a case I can reference when opening a new case?
Horizon 7.1 Instant clones in endless provisioning customizing deleting cycle
We are trying to stand up VDI on Horizon 7.1 with Windows 10 instant clones. When we create a pool, the five systems that we try to stand up are created, they get good IP addresses, they are joined to the domain and you can login to them by the console or by RDP. The pool itself is says that it is customizing and the systems are not accessible through the web client. The systems themselves never finish customizing. After about 10 minutes of trying, the systems are deleted and rebuilt.
I’ve used multiple Windows 10 images building them from scratch and trying a standard image we had here as well. We have both skipped the optimization tool and used it. We have rebuilt the entire Horizon suite multiple times. I have a ticket in with VMware now and they helped us pull the logs from the clones that are stood up. One of the other things they recommended that we do was to upgrade to Horizon 7.4 which we will be doing. I'm kind of at wits end. I don't know what else to do here.
Any and all recommendations or areas to check here would be greatly appreciated.
Finally, I am on a closed network so I cannot provide any configuration/log files which makes the troubleshooting process a bit more challenging. Thank you in advance for taking a look at this.

Thanks techguy129, for your response.

--Its just a terminal (zero client) where they access a central N computing server where their RDP sessions are configured. The reason why they asking this is that they want to reuse the specified terminals and even add more.
Re: Horizon 7.1 Instant clones in endless provisioning customizing deleting cycle
I'm seeing the same thing with 1709. 1607 and 1703 works great for us. We are running Horizon 7.3.2.
Re: VMware Horizon Client 'Login as current user' Not Working After Reimaging Workstation
Any resolution to this? I am experiencing the same issue in our environment.
Re: Windows 10 v1607 VDI vm3dmp.sys BSOD
No pbaideme - we're still seeing this every now and then and it seems to happen mostly when reconnecting to the VDI but that's purely anecdotal.
We're in the process of upgrading these VDI's (full clones) to 1703 so we're hoping that might help.
Re: Windows 10 v1607 VDI vm3dmp.sys BSOD
This issue has been being investigated by VMware engineering.
Hey h3nkY - where did you get this information from? How do you know it was being investigated by VMware at the time? Did you ever get an update on this?

[SOLVED] BSOD on vm3dmp.sys after installing VMWare Tools 7 on Windows 7
I hear you but the fact that I'd have to do this across 90 VDI's is not ideal. Plus, it should just work, and if not hopefully VMware can help us hone in on it. For all we know it's some security software that's to blame.
Re: Windows 10 v1607 VDI vm3dmp.sys BSOD
Hi Phylum
I got from VMware bug report.
It already has a fix for this issue.
Please contact your support channel to get immediate fix.

Re: Windows 10 v1607 VDI vm3dmp.sys BSOD
Was the fix a new Horizon Agent version? I'm trying to assess if they've since incorporated the fix in the latest release.
Re: View Events Database prefix
"I believe the table prefixes are added to allow multiple View environments to use the same database for reporting in very large environments."
Bingo.
Re: Windows 10 USB Redirection Fails to work on login
We have the same issue with the Agent 7.4 in Windows 7 and Windows 10 Pools.
With the Agent 7.3.2 we don´t have problems.
Re: Windows 10 USB Redirection Fails to work on login
Great, so they reverted the change that was made in 7.3.1 in 7.4.0. This is like the 3rd time VMware has done this with one of their products.
Re: RTAV in View Client 3.5 drops audio when resolution is set to 640x480
I am getting to setup the same thing using Vidyo. Im curious if you ever got your issue resolved. We are using 10zig thin clients and horizon 7.1.0.
