No Mistake. If you have Lync 2013 client installed on your laptop or PC and try to connect to a VM, the Lync VDI plugin will not work. I suspect they share common DLL files. I hope MS fixes this ASAP. This is why I struggled to resolve this issue for months, because I would have never thought to remove the Lync Client from my desktop.
However, if you are using Windows 8 on your Desktop or Laptop, the Lync "Metro" web app will NOT interfere with the VDI Plugin.
