We are having te same issue. And we dont have that much sessions open (about 20 connected). It's the second time this happened in about 2 months. I hope someone finds the resolution..

Re: VMware Blast within VMware Horizon View 5.3(1) trough port 443 instead of port 8443 because of security policy within the Financial Services segment
Trying to "hide" blast and portal under the same url/port I test with success this conf base on the last post and nginx doc : WebSocket proxying
# VMWARE View nginx reverse proxy configuration
# nginx>=1.3.13 (tested with 1.6.2)
# frontend for both access portal and Blast servers under the same url/port

map $http_upgrade $connection_upgrade {

listen 443 ssl;
server_name blast.domain.public;
ssl on;
ssl_certificate /etc/ssl/certs/blast.domain.public.crt;
ssl_certificate_key /etc/ssl/private/blast.domain.public.key;
# Reverse VMWARE View Blast service (websocket)
# upgraded connection and Blast resources seems to be under /r
##########
location /r {
proxy_pass https://blast.domain.local:8443/r;
proxy_http_version 1.1;

proxy_set_header Connection $connection_upgrade;
}
# Reverse VMWARE View Portal

Re: VMware Blast within VMware Horizon View 5.3(1) trough port 443 instead of port 8443 because of security policy within the Financial Services segment
Thanks for posting this. Although this NGINX setup may be OK for a lab test environment, it is not a VMware supported method for a production environment with either View Connection Server or Security Server. View broker traffic, tunnel traffic, Blast traffic and SSL client certificate negotiation etc. could be adversely affected by using such a configuration.
VMware supports Blast on 8443 (or other non 443 port), or the port mapping technique described in my earlier reply for doing this all on 443.

Re: PCoIP error
hi, yes this is a full clone.
in RDP he can connect with no issues.
There's nothing different between this VM and the other full clones of its pool, the only thing that comes into my mind is that this user connects from very different network because he travels a lot, and the other users usually connect from the office, from home or from 3g networks using mobile devices.
Re: Network Latency after Recomposing
We found the answer to our problem. We did esxtop logging with 2 VMA's and noticed our IOPS is way to high for what we can handle via our x2 EMC VNXE 3150. We are currently at 8,000+ IOPS during a normal workload and our VNXE can only handle about 5,000. The vendor who recommended the EMC device is now buying back our existing x2 VNXE 3150's and we are buying a VNX 5200 loaded with flash which we are hoping to fix all performance issues.
Persona Management Issues...Lots of them
So we have had quite a few problems since we implemented Persona Management. Currently I am running View 5.3.2 with over 250 non-persistent linked clones and utilizing persona management which took over my existing roaming profiles. I am not doing any folder redirected within the persona policy and I do not roam the .ost within persona.
- My first issue is the biggest issue. Ever since we implemented persona we have had non stop issues with Internet explorer crashing and displaying a white screen that does not populate the Web bar. Users will be fine one second then the next they'll close out IE and go back then IE no longer works. While IE is down I am unable to delete the cookies, cache, history, etc. It says its deleting but it never actually does so, I have waited upwards to 20 minutes with no success. Logging off the user and logging them back in sometimes works but very rarely. The only way I have been able to "fix" the issue is to log them off, move them to a different desktop, and then log them back in. Over the past weeks I have been getting a dozen users or more a day having this problem and its starting to get the managing partners upset. I have had a ticket open with VMWare since Late December and they are scratching there heads with no answers. One thing they told me that "could" be the problem is that the persona folders on my fileshare server does not have "Creator Owner" permissions. I have had the same permissions for roaming profiles for the last 6 years and had no issues until persona was put in action so I am hesitant to changing any permissions on the folders. They have collected windows logs and persona logs but still cannot get to the bottom of it. One thing that does seem to prevent the issue is to restart all vm's at night and usually the next day I will only have 1 or 2 users with internet issues. Some users stay logged in for a day or 2 which may cause some issues so I am working on an "idle log off" policy.
- Users deleted desktop icons keep coming back and when they come back, documents are corrupted. This has been going on for a while but I have yet to put in a ticket with vmware as I am trying to get the biggest issue above fixed first. Users will delete some desktop icons and then when they log off and back on, the icons will repopulate. I am not sure if this is a Windows 7 issue or a persona issue. We went from Windows XP fat clients straight to Windows 7 thin clients so it is hard to tell.
Re: Persona Management Issues...Lots of them
Also would like to add that all my users only log into one location, there is no way for them to log into 2 separate desktops at any given time.
Re: Build-to-Lossless Feature
I'm not sure what that means, but I only have the following enabled in Overridable Administrator Defaults
Configure the PCoIP session audio bandwidth limit Enabled set to 100
Turn off Build-to-Lossless feature Enabled
Are there any issues if I set Disable Build To Lossless to True on the zero client also?
Re: vmware view connection broker stop responding on port 443
Interesting ours start around that time also, but it seem yours issue is better then the one we have but in other hand you have 20 connection and we have 400 +
Can you tell me about your setup? Want compare it to ours,
We are using windows 2008 R2 with 12GB RAM and 4CPU, the connection broker
are VM and running on ESXI 5.5 and we are using F5 load balancer,
Re: vmware view connection broker stop responding on port 443
We just had the same issue for the second time today
We dont have a loadbalancer (yet), instead we use the security server on which the error occurs.
We are unning the same specs (VM and ESXI), but i increased the memory today from 4GB to 10GB. Hope this helps..
I suspect a user doing something wich makes the CPU go crazy, but i have to investigate further. Will post when i find out more...
Re: vmware view connection broker stop responding on port 443
are your external user using any type of VPN , if they do what company ?
do you see the errore message in log ? or you ony see the port get close ?
Re: Build-to-Lossless Feature
How do I change this option
NOTE: These settings take effect only when the host has "Use Client Image Settings" enabled.
Re: Horizon Client Freezes for 3-5 Seconds Randomly
Also, I have noticed that when the freeze event occurs, I can click on all the options on the Horizon Client toolbar. I can minimize the desktop, select USB devices, etc, without issue.
Re: External Access Policy
Well, I realized that the vmware view is poor
controls and features that Citrix provides. So have to bail scripts or third-party tools to configure your environment.
Re: bad performance on my desktop that has windows 8.1
Did you measure the impact on disk performance of the application and compilation in the physical.
I'd start with the optimization using the tool previously linked in the thread, it has a Template for Windows 8 that will enable you disable many of the common services and processes that can impact performance. I would also though look at that physical performance and ensure that your VM can provide equal resources on the disk side as well as compute.
Re: bad performance on my desktop that has windows 8.1
when one of my user is working on horizon desktop i have monitor it and it is compile a project DISK I/O is not good i think the reason of bad performance is for this please see attach file

View 6.01 - Mac Client - You are not entitled to use this system
Hi All,
Running a View 6.01 (test) environment with two hosts, one the Connection Server and One RDS host.
Its a published app only. One App only.
All configured and licensed. Local access at the office works fine both on the Windows and Mac client..
When connect to environment remotely (via an sslvpn which has full access to internal LAN) I experience the following error:
MAC Client - You are not entitled to use the system. (see screenshot)
The Windows client works as fine.
Its just the MAC client causing the error. Mac OS is Yosemite 10.10.3 and the Mac Client 2.3 (1551379)
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks
